DENVER (October 29, 2012)--Police are investigating the death of a 32-year-old Denver woman whose body was found slumped in a couch in an apartment with her still living husband and dog nearby.
Officers who responded on Oct. 1 to a report of a foul smell in the apartment found Steven Ford and a Great Dane named Lola in the same room as the decomposing body of Michaela Beth Ford.
An affidavit obtained by KMGH-TVquotes Steven Ford as telling officers, "She's not dead. She's fine."
The apartment manager told officers he had last seen Michaela Ford alive about two weeks earlier.
No charges have been filed.
The cause and manner of her death have not yet been determined.
