ROME (March 26, 2013)--Italy’s highest court has overturned the acquittal of former American exchange student Amanda Knox in the death of her roommate six years ago.
Knox called the decision "painful."
An appeals court in Florence must now re-hear the case against Knox and her Italian ex-boyfriend.
The two were convicted of killing Knox's roommate in 2007, but an appeals court acquitted them in 2011.
