Jobless Veterans Rescue Robbery Victim

CINCINNATI (January 3, 2013)--A homeless man and another who was recently homeless are being hailed as heroes after coming to the aid of a man who being robbed in downtown Cincinnati.

Police Gary Wagner, 54, was being attacked at an ATM when the two men intervened and wrestled him free of the would-be robber.

One of them stayed with Wagner while the other ran after the robber and stood in front of his car until officers arrived.

Both men are military veterans who did not know each other before the Monday encounter.

David Hale, 46, just got off the streets, and Chad McClain, 38, who ran after the robber, is living at a shelter.

Wagner says he wants to do something to help them.
