BELLEFONTE, Pa. (June 25, 2012)—Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, 68, wants "people to know that he's not guilty,” his lawyer said Monday.

Sandusky was convicted Friday on 45 counts for sexually abusing 10 boys over at 15-year period.

Karl Rominger, who represents Sandusky along with Joe Amendola, says he visited his client Monday at the Centre County and says Sandusky's mood is defiant.

He said Sandusky is being kept away from other inmates and has not been able to see his family pending a psychological evaluation.

Rominger said that Sandusky is still under observation but said his client is not suicidal.

The attorney said Sandusky wants the examination to take place so that he can start receiving visits from his family.
