LONGVIEW, Wash. (February 11, 2013)—Terry Miracle, 82, of Longview, Wash., says he’s a little sore, but otherwise OK after he tackled and helped police catch a felon one-third his age.
Miracle was weeding in his garden Friday when heard a commotion and saw officers chasing the burglary suspect identified as Morgan Perry Bluehorse, 27, through yards and over fences.
Miracle said he got in position as he heard them draw near, and as the suspect barreled around the house, he remembered his high school football training and launched a "cross-body block."
His knee struck the suspect's knee, tripping him up and giving police time to catch him.
