NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio (August 7, 2012)--A Cleveland-area man has been arrested for carrying a gun, ammunition and several knives into a theater showing of the "The Dark Knight Returns."
Police in North Ridgeville say a theater manager was suspicious of the man and the satchel the man was carrying when he entered the theater for the 10 p.m. Saturday showing of the Batman movie.
The manager and an off-duty police officer who was working security searched the bag and found the weapons.
The man was arrested without incident.
His home was searched Monday night.
The man’s name and other details have not been released.
The incident comes a little more than two weeks after a 24-year-old man opened fire in a theater in Aurora, Colo., during the midnight opening of the new movie, killing 12 and injuring 58 others.
