CANTON, Ga. (February 27, 2014) Ryan Quinton, 28, has been charged in a crash that killed his newlywed wife as the two drove back from their wedding reception in Georgia.
Quinton was charged with driving under the influence, vehicular homicide, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane in the Dec. 29 crash that killed Kali Dobson, 25, the Georgia State Patrol said.
Quinton's blood-alcohol level was 0.114. Georgia's legal limit is .08 percent, authorities said.
Quinton was free on $25,000 bond Thursday, Cherokee County sheriff's Lt. Jay Baker said.
Officials said Quinton was trying to avoid hitting a dog when the vehicle was driving veered off the road and Dobson was ejected.
