PHILADELPHIA (October 2, 2012)--A man has been charged in connection with a big brawl that broke out among people attending two different wedding receptions in a downtown Philadelphia hotel that left one man dead, police said.
The fight involving dozens of people broke out early Sunday in the Society Hill neighborhood.
Police say a 57-year-old man suffered a fatal heart attack outside the reception, but they don't know if he was involved in the fights.
Philadelphia police said Monday that one person has been charged and more arrests are expected.
Authorities say Westfield, N.J., resident Matthew Sofka, 26, is charged with aggravated assault and on other counts as well.
Police say the investigation is continuing and they expect more arrests.
They don't know what started the brawl, but say alcohol was involved.
