More Than A Dozen Hurt When Train Collides With Dump Truck

LOS ANGELES (April 7, 2013)--A Metrolink commuter train collided with a dump truck Saturday in Los Angeles, leaving 13 people with minor injuries.

Fire Department spokesman Shawn Lenske says nine of 190 passengers on the train were taken to the hospital Saturday for treatment.

The truck driver was treated at the scene.

The truck was on the tracks when the collision occurred around 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Pacoima in the San Fernando Valley, Metrolink spokesman Jeff Lustgarten said.

The impact of the crash caused the truck to overturn.

Lustgarten said the crash is under investigation.
