FALMOUTH, Maine (November 22, 2013) A pilot landed his small plane on an interstate near Portland, Maine during rush hour after the plane developed engine trouble, authorities say.
Troopers say no one was injured when the single-engine Cessna 152 landed in the southbound lanes of I-295 in in Cumberland at around 5 p.m. Thursday.
The pilot then taxied southward before stopping in the median in Falmouth.

He managed to avoid hitting any cars despite the busy time of day, police said.
