TOLEDO, Ohio (December 2, 2013) A high school student in Toledo,Ohio says there were some scary moments Monday morning after a disruptive 14-year-old flashed a pellet gun at a police officer, leading to a short standoff in the school.
The student was taken into custody Monday morning after the standoff ended, police said.
No one was injured.
Kayla Williams, 16, said the boy was kicked out of class and sent to a room for students serving in-school suspensions, where he told a school police officer that he had a gun and then briefly took it out of a bag.
Williams says she was just a few feet away and that the gun looked real.
She said students ran out of the room screaming.
Police say the teenager was then isolated in a hallway.
The teenager was taken into custody after officers fired a bean bag round at his feet.
