CHESTER, Pa. (September 28, 2012)—Four teenage girls were held in lieu of $50,000 bonds Friday in the videotaped beating of a neighbor on her porch "for fun" outside Philadelphia.
Chester Police Commissioner Joseph Bail Jr. held a news conference Friday, a day after the 16- and 17-year-old girls were arrested for the alleged attack on a 48-year-old woman whom authorities described as "mentally challenged."
They've been charged as adults with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, burglary and harassment.
Authorities say the victim was punched, kicked and hit with a shoe and chair.
She suffered cuts and bruises, but no broken bones, authorities said.
She's said to be at a crisis unit Friday.
