NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (July 4, 2012)--A tour bus crash Wednesday just north of New York City has sent 24 people to the hospital.
State police in Westchester County said the bus traveling from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut to Queens went out of control while southbound on I-95 in New Rochelle just before 6:20 a.m. Wednesday.
The bus carrying 23 passengers struck a center median barrier, crossed back over three southbound lanes, and then slid about 500 feet along an outer barrier wall before stopping.
Police say all the passengers and the driver were sent to hospitals, but none had serious injuries.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the driver to lose control of the bus.
A call to a Foxwoods representative was not immediately returned.
