Two High School Football Players Die In Freeway Crash

SHARON, Pa. (November 9, 2013) A freeway crash in western Pennsylvania claimed the lives of three people, including two high school football players.

Two members of the Sharon High School football team were killed in the two-vehicle crash Friday night in Sharon, about 50 miles north of Pittsburgh

Police did not release the names of those involved but The Sharon Herald reported that other members of the team were injured.

Two children, ages 10 and 12, were also taken to hospitals.

Sharon High School was scheduled to play in a District 10 playoff game Saturday against Girard High School, but the District 10 committee said in a statement the game had been canceled.
