KABUL, Afghanistan (September 26, 2012)—Two NATO troops were killed Wednesday in an insurgent attack in Afghanistan, the international military coalition said.

The alliance said the two died when militants in the volatile east attacked them, but gave no other details.

The nationalities of the soldiers killed were not disclosed.

So far this year, 285 NATO service members have been killed in Afghanistan.
