PHILADELPHIA (February 15, 2013)--A 19-year-old woman was charged in the abduction of a 5-year-old girl from a Philadelphia elementary school last month, police said.
Special Victims Unit Capt. John Darby said Christina Regusters was charged Thursday night with kidnapping, conspiracy, aggravated assault, rape, and other offenses stemming from the abduction.
She was one of four people living in a house several blocks from the school whom police questioned Thursday.
The other three were released, but Darby said the investigation is ongoing.
A woman posing as her mother took the girl out of her classroom on Jan. 14 at Bryant Elementary School in west Philadelphia.
The child was found early the next morning at a playground about a mile away, wearing only a T-shirt.
