JUNEAU, Alaska (June 18, 2014) A curious bear interrupted an American Legion baseball game this week in Juneau, Alaska.
The black bear walked along the outfield fence during a game between Juneau and West Anchorage.
Officials called a brief halt to the game to allow the players from Anchorage to watch the ambling bear.
Black Bears are common in Juneau, however, so the hometown team wasn’t quite as surprised.
In fact bears normally walk along a trail along the outfield fence that cuts off into nearby woods.
Last year during a soccer camp, a bear walked down the middle of the field and proceeded to the stands, where it ate several sack lunches that were intended for players.
