SAN ANGELO (March 5, 2013)—Animal control officers have safely removed a deer that wandered on to the campus of Angelo State University in San Angelo after firing a tranquilizer dart to subdue the animal.
Officer Toby Allen says the more than 100-pound deer wandered between some structures and ended up near a building window Monday at the school.
ASU police Chief James Adams says no property was damaged.
Game wardens transported the deer to a state park for release.
Leonor Constancio, who works in ASU's communications and marketing office, saw the deer and said Tuesday it's a miracle the animal didn't get hurt.
