JUNEAU, Alaska (September 26, 2013)--A black bear strolled into the bar at the Alaskan Hotel Monday night in downtown Juneau, Alaska, but it didn’t stay long.
Bartender Ariel Svetlik-McCarthy says she freaked out and yelled, "No bear! Get out! No! You can't be in here!"
The bear left the bar within seconds.
State biologist Ryan Scott says it's rare for black bears to enter Juneau businesses, but says they have wandered inside homes before.
He said the staff did a great job, which was good news the bear.
State wildlife officials have killed two nuisance bears in Juneau this summer.
