SAN FRANCISCO (January 28, 2013)--San Francisco's animal control agency relies on newspapers papers to line cages and catch its puppy's poop, but finding newspapers is a challenge in the digital age.
So the agency turned to the city's public library to ensure a consistent supply.
The agency will pick up newspapers from the library about twice a month.
Agency supervisor Eric Zuercher said the arrangement solved a big problem, noting that puppies are poop machines.
The agency previously relied on public contributions and donations from the Chronicle.
