Dog Puts Car In Drive; Car Strikes Pedestrian

YORK, Pa. (March 27, 2013)--A dog that was left in an unattended vehicle knocked the car into gear and the car struck a pedestrian, police in West York, Pa., said.

The pedestrian was found lying in the street after the accident late Tuesday morning.

Police say the car was running when the dog inside pushed it into drive, causing it to start moving slowly.

He hit his head, fell to the ground and was found unconscious.
