HENDERSON, Ky. (November 20, 2012)--Six dogs were sent to a jail in western Kentucky to learn some manners.
Inmates worked with the dogs to teach them good behavior, such as obeying the commands to sit and stay.
The dogs, which were selected for the program by the New Hope Animal Rescue Center, have been with the prisoners for a couple of months.
New Hope President Paula Hawkins said the change in the animals is amazing.
The jail "graduates" and other dogs will go up for adoption on Dec. 1.
