MIAMI (January 1, 2013)--Members of the Florida State football team, won't have to look far to find the Northern Illinois squad at Tuesday night’s Orange Bowl, but finding the home of their opponents on a map is another story.
Some Florida State players acknowledge they're really tackling dummies when it comes to the geography of the Midwest.
Receiver Rashad Greene said while he "could probably find Illinois" on a map, he doesn't know what town his Orange Bowl opponents hail from.
When Seminoles kicker Dustin Hopkins was told the team hails from DeKalb, Ill, he said, "Next time I'll know."
Quarterback EJ Manuel says he thought the school was in Chicago.
