WILKINSBURG, Pa. (August 6, 2012)--Officials have been trying to find someone with a key to shut of a fire alarm that blared throughout the night at a Pittsburgh-area public housing complex.
Residents of the Wood Street building in Wilkinsburg say the alarm went off about 6:30 p.m. Sunday after a resident burned some popcorn.
Twelve hours later the alarm with flashing strobe lights and a high-pitched screeching tone, was still sounding.
Allegheny County Housing Authority officials said they’re trying to find the person with the key that’s needed to shut the alarm off.
