JONESTOWN, Pa. (August 19, 2013)—The owners of the Woods Creek Grill near Harrisburg, Pa., are trying to sell the 8-foot stuffed polar bar that’s been a fixture at the restaurant for years, but it’s proving to be a bear of a job.
The animal was legally shot in 1967 in Alaska, but since then, laws have changed so that the stuffed animal now can't be taken across state lines or be sold to someone in another country because of endangered species laws.
Simply selling it to a buyer within the state would be hard, but fortunately the owner has paperwork documenting where and when the bear was killed.
