PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (May 9, 2013)--A Florida man ran from the law and into the jaws of an alligator, authorities say.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says Bryan Zuniga, 20, was pulled at around 2:50 a.m. Thursday for failing to maintain a single lane.
Deputies say Zuniga stopped the vehicle and jumped out of the passenger door, broke through a vinyl fence and ran off.
He turned up a few hours later at a local hospital.
He told deputies an alligator attacked him near a water treatment plant.
He was treated for multiple puncture wounds to the face, arm and armpit area, but his problems aren’t over yet.
He’s been charged with fleeing police, driving with a suspended or revoked license and resisting an officer without violence.
