ANN ARBOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (April 24, 2013)--Neil Sauter plans to cover 400 miles from a height of 9 feet off the ground.
Sauter, 29, plans to trek 400 miles across his home state on stilts during the next month as part of an effort to raise money for the United Cerebral Palsy of Michigan nonprofit.
The Deerfield, Mich., resident has mild cerebral palsy.
His "Walk for No Limits" kicked off April 12 in Ann Arbor.
His journey is scheduled to end May 19, not far from his southern Michigan home.
Five years ago, Sauter stilt-walked 830 miles across the state and raised about $85,000 in the process, but this time, he's looking to walk less and raise more.
Sauter says that when he looks back, he's "going to be really proud of these trips."
