Octogenarian Paperboy Picks Up Some Pocket Change

ADAMS, Minn. (December 6, 2012)--Bud Schaefer says he’s proud to be a paperboy, although at 86 he’s hardly a boy.

Schaefer says when his children gave him a bicycle for Christmas four years ago, he wasn't sure he'd use it, but he's taken to bike riding and is even earning some pocket change as he runs his route.

Every afternoon he delivers about 40 papers from his bike in southern Minnesota.

One of his customers, Larry Croker, told KARE-TV he's never had a paperboy who's so dependable.
