SALEM, Ore. (October 1, 2012)—Chris Barnett, 23, is claiming the world’s record for the longest one-hour wheelie on a bicycle after covering 13.65 miles with his front wheel up Saturday.
A crowd at Oregon's South Salem High cheered Barnett on as he rode round-and-round the track after seeing the crowd, Barnett says he knew he could do it.
His record one-wheel ride raised about $2,000 for a freshwater well in an African village.
The previous record was 10.5 miles.
