AUBURN, Calif. (June 21, 2012)--Darlene King didn't think she'd ever see her late husband's 1961 wedding ring again, but a couple showed up Wednesday at her home in Auburn, Calif., to return the gold ring.

Her late husband lost it five or six years ago.

Shannon and Steve Callahan of Sacramento have been searching for the owner since they found the ring in their 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, which was originally purchased at the Crawford Auto Plaza in El Paso.

The Callahans contacted the El Paso Times, which published a story that was picked up by the Associated Press.

The Sacramento Bee contacted the Texas auto dealership, which tracked down the Kings, who bought the Pontiac in El Paso they moved moving to California.
