DENVER (July 2, 2013)--Colorado state officials have released more than 60 pages of detailed rules on the sale of legal marijuana.
Recreational pot has been legal in Colorado since last year, but retail sales don't begin until January.
The rules announced Monday include a requirement for buyers to produce a photo ID to prove they're at least 21.
Marijuana-laced snacks that can spoil have to carry an expiration or use-by date and officials also want voters to approve steep taxes on pot sales, totaling 30 percent.
