PHILADELPHIA (May 6, 2014) Several men who robbed a gas station in Philadelphia, firing a shot in the process, stuck around after the holdup and pumped gas, offering discounts to motorists who paid cash.
Police Lt. John Walker called the robbers' actions "bizarre."
He said they probably felt they didn't get enough money in the stickup "so they're going to sit there, take control of the business, offer gas at a discounted price and try to get additional money."
The clerk's father says his son was told by the robbers to stay in the bathroom for two hours.
The robbers were still at large Tuesday.
