ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (March 13, 2013)—It turns out the new girl at a high school in Carter County, Tenn., wasn’t a transfer student after all, but instead undercover Deputy Donna Rogan.
Carter County Sheriff Chris Mathes said Operation Jump Street lasted 10 months and involved four high schools.
Authorities say Rogan looked convincing enough and was able to slip into the drug subculture.
Deputies arrested nine students and five adults in the operation, which was launched in response to complaints about drugs in schools.
