MIDLAND, Pa. (October 10, 2012)--A pot-bellied pig that someone probably abandoned as a pet is running wild in a western Pennsylvania neighborhood, and no official agency seems willing to help.
The pig has been rooting around in yards and scaring children in Midland Heights, Pa., about 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.
One local resident told KDKA-TV she contacted the Pennsylvania Game Commission, which referred her to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, which told her to contact the local animal shelter or humane society.
All she knows is this cute little pig "belongs on a farm ... not in the Heights!"
