WEIMAR (February 11, 2013)—Deputies confiscated about $500,000 worth of cocaine that was hidden in a false compartment of a vehicle's radiator, authorities announced Monday.

Deputies arrested two people from Lake Wales, Fla., after the discovery.

A traffic stop Friday on Interstate 10 several miles east of Weimar led to the search of the vehicle.

A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper noticed the radiator appeared to have been altered and a drug-sniffing dog located packages with more than 20 pounds of cocaine.

The Colorado County Sheriff's Office says Marciano Moreno, 43, and his wife Maria, 52, were held Monday on charges of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

Bond was set at $25,000.
