VIENNA (October 28, 2013) Police in Austria are trying to track down a thief who stole a huge amount of grass secretly mowed from a farmer’s field.
The grass theft occurred around Liebenfels, a village about 120 miles southwest of Vienna, a police statement said.
The farmer reported Monday that his field had been mowed and the grass was gone, although the theft could have occurred within the last three weeks.
The estimated worth of the fodder is more than $4,000, the farmer told police.
