KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 20, 2012)--A Kansas City Boy Scout found pot growing on county parkland while on a camping trip near Longview Lake in Jackson County, Mo.

The scouts tipped authorities and deputies say they made two busts and destroyed more than $40,000 worth of pot plants.

Authorities didn’t identify the troop, as the search continues for more suspects, but Sheriff Mike Sharp recently gave the scouts a commendation.
