PIERCE, Neb. (August 20, 2013)--Retired Nebraska car dealer Ray Lambrecht is putting hundreds of vintage Chevrolets up for auction, including some that have logged only a single mile.
Collectors from around the world will bid on about 500 cars and pickups once owned by Lambrecht Chevrolet Company in Pierce, Neb., a town of about 1,800.
Lambrecht, who opened the dealership in 1946 and ran it for 50 years, held onto his unsold vehicles and trade-ins as a nest egg.
Some still have the manufacturers' plastic on the seats.
Auctioneer Yvette VanDerBrink says she has received calls about the auction from as far as Iceland, Singapore and Brazil.
