LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 1, 2013)—A webcam installed by Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities is keeping an eye on nesting peregrine falcons at a power plant in southwest Louisville.
Kate Heyden, a bird biologist with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, says it is the first nesting peregrine falcon webcam in the state.
Two decades ago the raptor couldn't be found in Kentucky, but it returned in 1997 and efforts have been made to help it multiply.
