FORT WORTH (June 15, 2013)--Fort Worth police are hoping a clay reconstruction of a dead woman's face will help them identify her.
A work crew found the body of the petite Hispanic woman with long dark hair in a shallow grave on the west side of the city, but Fort Worth homicide detective Kyle Sullivan says leads generated after the body was found ran cold.
A national missing person's database also turned up no leads.
Investigators asked a forensic artist to create a mask of the woman's face by applying clay to the woman's skull, he said.
Police presented the reconstruction at a news conference Friday hoping someone will recognize the woman.
The cause and manner of the woman's death have not been determined.
