DALLAS (January 17, 2013)—Fort Worth-based American Airlines rolled out a new look Thursday, introducing a new logo and paint job in a video posted on its website.
The red, white and blue stripes along the side of the fuselage are gone and there’s a new logo and a new paint scheme on the tail.
The updated livery has been painted on a Boeing 777-300 that goes into service Jan. 31.
American is getting close to emerging from more than a year under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and it’s considering whether to merge with US Airways or remain on its own.
