SAN ANTONIO (October 25, 2012)--Former President Bill Clinton makes two Texas stops Thursday to give Democrats in tight U.S. House races a boost.
Clinton will hold a rally Thursday in San Antonio for Democratic congressional hopeful Pete Gallego, who is locked in one of the closest congressional races in the country.
Gallego, a longtime state lawmaker, is trying to take the sprawling 23rd Congressional District from Republican U.S. Rep. Francisco Canseco, who narrowly won the seat in 2010.
Later Thursday, Clinton heads to Beaumont for former U.S. Rep. Nick Lampson who is vying with Republican state Rep. Randy Weber for the seat of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, who is retiring.
Clinton also visited Texas swing districts in 2010, but his efforts were largely unsuccessful in stopping Republican victories.
