SOCORRO (October 31, 2012)--A raid on a West Texas police station has led to four arrests on undisclosed charges, according to a spokesman for the City of Socorro, who said some of the four people arrested Tuesday night are likely police officers.
David Garcia told the El Paso Times that Texas Rangers and state troopers carried out the arrests and search warrants.
Investigators were seen hauling out computers and files from the police substation in Socorro, an El Paso-area city of about 32,000.
Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Tom Vinger had no immediate details Wednesday.
Details were not immediately released on the criminal charges.
A spokeswoman for prosecutors declined comment on the investigation.
Several calls to the Socorro Police Department non-emergency line were not immediately answered Wednesday.
