(January 18, 2013)--On Saturday, gun rights advocates will hold a rally to affirm their right to bear arms.
The rally will be held in Austin on the north side steps of the Texas State Capitol beginning at noon.
“Signs are welcome, please remember to have positive, family friendly messages,” Guns Across America – Texas posted on their Facebook page.
Long guns are not permitted as the group says they do not want to alarm anyone who might be there for another event.
CHL holders will be allowed to carry inside the Capitol and local police have been informed of the event.
Confirmed speakers at the event include Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson, Texas Political Activist Adrian Murray, Tea Party Activist Toby Marie Walker, Guns Across America National Coordinator Eric Reed and District 15 State Representative Steve Toth, among others.
The event is set to end at 2 p.m.
