ESTES PARK, Colo. (February 4, 2013)--A scaled-back search continues in Colorado for a Texas man who’s believed to be missing in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Troy Green of San Antonio planned to attend a conference in Denver, about 65 miles southeast of the park, but his wife notified police when she didn't hear from him Thursday.

Green, 39, didn't arrive at the conference as planned Friday, but park rangers found a vehicle that matched his rental car at the park's Bear Lake parking lot early Friday.

Rangers heard from two witnesses who said they spoke with Green on Thursday, but they said they did not see where he went.

The witnesses said he seemed to be prepared for winter weather, wearing snow pants, a down jacket, gloves and a face mask.

Rescuers have scaled back their search because of concerns about dangerous winter conditions and a lack of clues, but a park spokesman said rangers would continue to check out leads.
