Second Arrest Made In Deadly Shooting That Left Young Girl Wounded

SAN ANTONIO (December 3, 2012)--A second man was in custody Monday in San Antonio, charged with assault in an incident in which shots were fired into a house, wounding a 3-year-old girl inside as a man outside of the home was slain.

San Antonio police say Damien Deleon, 21, was held Monday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the Nov. 7 attack.

Bond was set at $75,000 for Deleon, who was arrested Sunday.

Police say 3-year-old Jaylyn Vasquez was grazed by a bullet while in a bedroom.

Authorities say Joe Richard Santos was fatally shot in what evidently was a lingering dispute from an earlier fight.

Police arrested Jonathan Daniel Miranda last week on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Neither man has been charged in the slaying.
