VICTORIA (June 16, 2013)—An investigation is underway after three men were injured when the small twin engine plane in which they were flying crashed in a nearby field shortly after taking off from an airport in Victoria.
The plane crashed at around 10 a.m. Saturday.
Roland Herwig, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration in Oklahoma City, said two of the men on board were seriously hurt and the third suffered minor injuries.
They were taken to a local hospital.
Authorities didn’t immediately release their names or information about their conditions.
Herwig said the pilot evidently was practicing take-offs and landings at the time.
The FAA is investigating the crash and the National Transportation Safety Board has been notified.
