DALLAS (August 15, 2012)--Nearly 22,000 homes and businesses in North Texas lost electricity because of overnight storms, mostly in the Dallas area, Oncor said.

Crews were working to restore power Wednesday.

Some street flooding was reported in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where a severe thunderstorm watch expired before dawn Wednesday.

As much as 4 or 5 inches fell overnight in some areas of North Texas.
