DECATUR (October 15 2013)—Wise County Judge Bill McElhaney, 67, of Bridgeport died after collapsing during a commissioners court meeting.
McElhaney collapsed Monday morning and was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Justice of the Peace Jan Marrow said CPR was performed on McElhaney, but he could not be revived.
McElhaney was serving his second term as Wise County judge.
He was also vice president of the executive board of the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
Services were pending Tuesday.
