McKINNEY (April 26, 2013)—Jesus Antonio DeSantiago, 22, of Plano, was sentenced to 75 years in prison Friday for killing another man by running over his body with an SUV as many as seven times.
DeSantiago will be eligible for parole after 37 years.
He was convicted earlier of murdering Ashton Williams, 21.
Authorities say DeSantiago and his drug supplier met Williams in September 2011 for a drug deal in Plano.
Williams grabbed cocaine from the supplier and ran away, authorities said.
DeSantiago found Williams nearby and drove after him as he ran into a field. DeSantiago ran him down with his Ford Explorer, running over his body repeatedly, authorities said.
Police later arrested DeSantiago and skin found in the undercarriage of the SUV was used as evidence to prosecute him.
